Michael Jackson Memorial

On Tuesday afternoon, fans all across the world watched the Michael Jackson Memorial on TV while thousands paid tribute to the 'King of Pop' at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The ceremony included speeches from close friends, family members, and prominent members of the African-American community. The memorial also included several heart-felt performances of Michael Jackson songs from artists that included colleagues of Michael as well as younger performers who idolized him. With Jackson's casket in the spotlight in front of the stage, the speeches and performances were tragic, yet beautiful and inspiring. The music and life of Michael Jackson brought everyone together: athletes, politicians, musicians, actors, and his millions of fans worldwide. He was truly a unique musical legend, and his legacy will live on forever.
